Computational Biology

research, coding

In late high school and early college, I worked on a research project with CSAIL researcher Irwin Jungreis on computational genomics. I used java to analyze hundreds of DNA sequences in flies and mosquitoes, looking for evidence that stop codon readthrough is producing beneficial mutations. I was coauthored in a paper published in Molecular Biology and Evolution , which can be viewed here.
